03 — Finding a heater for your room
Finding a heater for your room
Room-volume ranges give you a more useful comparison than the overall spread of power ratings. Harvia’s The Wall SW45E pairs a 4.5kW output with a stated range of 3–6m³. For larger rooms, The Wall SW80 offers 8kW for 7–12m³, while the 30kW Harvia Qube Pro covers 40–75m³. Use those product-specific ranges when you compare sizes.
Wood-burning heaters have their own room ranges. With a starting price of one thousand, eight hundred and sixty-eight pounds, the Original IKI Wood Burning Sauna Heater covers 14–30m³. Harvia’s Legend 150 SL is for 6–13m³, with prices from one thousand, one hundred and eighty-four pounds and eighty-eight pence.
Not everything here is a standalone heater. Full Spectrum’s Mini Heater Upgrade has a power rating of three-tenths of a kilowatt and appears alongside infrared panels and complete saunas, including the Harvia Olympus Indoor Sauna. Check the product type before comparing power ratings.
04 — What the price includes
What the price includes
A lower starting price does not tell you which controls come with a heater. At £455, the Harvia The Wall SW45E needs a separate control unit, sold separately. The Wall SW45 costs from £669.63 and has built-in illuminated switches. These models share a 4.5kW output and a room range of 3–6m³.
Power supply is another detail worth checking. Although the Pillar IKI Electric Sauna Heater and the PYRY Electric Sauna Heater by Tulikivi each offer 4.5kW for rooms of 3–6m³, their listed supplies differ: three-phase for the Pillar IKI and single-phase for the PYRY.
For Wi-Fi controls, the Tylo Sense Elite 6 lists an Elite Cloud WiFi Control Panel. With the Pillar IKI, the options are an IKI UKU Wi-Fi Controller or no control unit. Read those choices alongside the starting price, rather than assuming controls are included.
