Who runs zauna?
The zauna editorial team. Some of us grew up with a sauna at the summer cottage; some found one in a UK harbour or leisure centre. What we share is wanting good heat, honest information and cold water afterwards. When we looked for one place that says where the UK's public saunas are, what a heater really costs and which one fits a room, every site that ranked was a shop. So we built it.
What zauna covers
- Find a sauna: community, wild and outdoor, spa, hotel, gym, leisure-centre, pool, private-hire and mobile saunas.
- Buy for home: heaters and home saunas with prices from UK retailers.
- Guides: plain answers on buying, using and building a sauna.
- Tools and data: heater size, running cost and planning permission calculators, plus UK sauna data.
How we check facts
Every guide is written from named sources and checked against the data on this site before it goes live. Venue facts come from the venue's own website or map data, with the source recorded. Prices come from retailers' own pages and show the date they were checked. Read the editorial policy.
How zauna makes money
Some retailer links earn a commission, businesses can request quotes from suppliers we've vetted, and venues can pay to be verified or featured. None of it changes what ranks or what we recommend. See the affiliate disclosure.
What we don't list
Adult venues of any kind. This is a site about heat, timber and cold water. See the content policy.
